Frequently Asked Questions
Find frequently asked questions below regarding classes at CREAtE.
1. Do I need to sign a waiver to participate in classes?
Yes. All participants (or parents/guardians of minors) must sign a Participation Waiver and Release of Liability before attending any class. This ensures everyone understands the risks and responsibilities involved.
2. What safety measures are in place for classes?
We prioritize safety by:
-
Providing instruction on proper tool/material use.
-
Ensuring age-appropriate supervision.
-
Stocking first-aid kits.
-
Using non-toxic materials where possible.
However, participants are responsible for following all safety guidelines.
3. What risks are involved in art classes?
Activities may involve sharp tools, chemicals, or physical exertion. Risks include cuts, burns, allergic reactions, or slips. Detailed risks are outlined in your waiver.

-
Ages 10 and under: A parent/guardian must remain onsite during the class.
-
Ages 11+: Children may attend independently if they meet the class’s age requirement.

Parents/guardians are financially responsible for damages caused by their child, including broken tools, wasted materials, or property harm. This is outlined in your signed waiver.
6. What should I wear to class?
Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. Avoid loose jewelry or sleeves near tools.
